When you visit this site

This site sets no cookies, embeds no third-party content and measures nothing. The typefaces used are on our own server — so no font is loaded from Google either.

When the site is called up, the web server's usual access logs are created: IP address, time, address requested, status code, amount of data transferred, plus the identifier and referring page your browser reports. They serve the operation of the service and the defence against attacks (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and are deleted after seven days.

If you write to us

When you make an enquiry by email, we process what you tell us in order to answer it and set up your access (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We keep the correspondence for as long as the business relationship and the commercial and tax retention periods require.

When you use EUNTES

Everything here depends on which of the two routes you have chosen.

The “your own account” route

Your computer calls the language model provider directly. Nothing reaches us — neither the sermon text nor the fact that you have been working. There is no processing on our side.

The “credit” route

Here the request goes through our service. What is stored is:

WhatWhat for
Name of the church, emailSo that a credit account can be assigned to a church
Licence keyChecking the entitlement
Computer identifier, only as a hashA key belongs to one editing workstation. What is needed is “is this the same computer as last time” — a checksum is enough for that, and the original identifier cannot be worked back out of it
Time, type of run, size, costBilling. Figures, not content
Entries and payment recordsSo that every credit balance can be checked
What is expressly not stored

The sermon text. Not a word of it — no file, no log, no error message with content in it. The text is passed through for the duration of the request and discarded afterwards.

The reason is not thrift: a sermon allows conclusions about the religious affiliation of the speakers and the congregation. That is specially protected data under Art. 9 GDPR, and the safest way to handle it is not to keep it in the first place.

The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Account data is deleted when the account is closed and no tax retention periods stand in the way any more.

Transcribing the recording

Before a sermon can be analysed, it has to be written out as text. There are two settings for this in the panel, and you choose between them yourself:

Who else is involved

WhoWhat forWhat goes there
Anthropic PBCUSA Analysis of the sermon on the “credit” route The spoken text of the sermon, for the duration of the request. On the “your own account” route it goes there directly from your computer, without us.
OpenAI, L.L.C.USA Transcription, if you choose “AI” in the panel The audio of the recording. With the default setting nothing goes there.
Stripepayment service Paying for credit Payment details. They are processed there, not by us — we only see the reference number and the fact that payment was made.
Hetzner Online GmbHGermany Servers for the site and the service Everything that technically passes through the server

Your rights

You may request information about the data stored about you, its correction or deletion, the restriction of processing, its release in a portable format, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. A message to shop@mediaandmerch.de is enough.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
